Music is very important to Veterans, First Responders, Teachers and their families
Music Heals. The great conductor, Leopold Stokowski knew this. He reached to the arts to promote healing. Not just the musical arts, but the ancient Indian art of yoga and the ancient Oriental art of energy medicine. Harmonetiks is gathering consultants as team members in science and music to bridge the gap between science, medicine and music. We will show how music is a vital part of medicine.
Stuart Knussen was Stokowski's "oldest and dearest British friends," Principal Double Bass and Chairman of the Board of the London Symphony Orchestra. During his career, many conductors considered him (as Bruno Walter wrote it) "the finest double bass player I've ever heard." Stuart was my mentor/teacher for 3 years in Banff, Canada; London, England and Maryland, USA. I had the great fortune of Stuart asking me to play Principal Double Bass while he played as my assistant.
Stuart knew medicine was my path and encouraged me to study medicine as part of my education. I started by studying the oriental medicine that Stokowski used. I've spent the last 35+ years adding to that knowledge.
My alma mater after Julliard Pre-College and before I met Stuart, I studied at the Royal Academy.
